Fox is developing a standalone film centered on Marvel's Multiple Man. The vehicle for James Franco will be written by Allan Heinberg (Wonder Woman) and produced by Simon Kinberg (Genre Films) and Franco’s Ramona Films. Jeremy Kramer is overseeing the project for Fox, and deals are in progress according to Deadline.

Multiple Man was created by Len Wein. A secondary character in the X-Men universe, Jamie Madrox (aka Multiple Man), has the ability to duplicate himself instantly using the kinetic energy from being struck. Madrox’s father develops a suit to help him control his abilities (later modified with the help of Professor Xavier and Reed Richards). The character has played a major role in various runs of X-Factor.

Fox has several projects lined up for the X-Men universe, from the upcoming releases Deadpool 2 (see “'Deadpool 2' Teaser 'Wet On Wet'”), The New Mutants (see "First 'The New Mutants' Trailer"), and X-Men: Dark Phoenix (see “'Deadpool 2,' 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix,' 'Teen Titans,' Hasbro, More”), to the long-in-development Gambit standalone (see “'Gambit,' 'Gigantic,' And 'The Bride Of Frankenstein'”).
