Next spring, Calliope Games will release the Roaring ‘20’s themed heist game The Mansky Caper, the first published design by Ken Franklin, illustrated by his son Matt Franklin (Virulence:  An Infectious Card Game).

Set in 1925 at the height of the gangster era, The Mansky Caper challenges players to break into mob boss Al Mansky’s mansion while he’s out of town to lift all of his loot.  The players work together to crack Mansky’s collection of safes, but only the “Associate” that gets the most loot out of the mansion wins the game.  Being that kind of guy, though, Mansky has fortified his mansion with explosive booby-traps that the players must try to avoid.

The Mansky Caper will include plastic gems, cardboard coins, and pre-built three-dimensional safes to hold the loot.  The game is intended for 2 to 6 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in under an hour.  MSRP has not yet been announced.

Calliope will soon release three new games in its “Titans of Gaming” line:  Eric M. Lang’s Ancestree, James Ernest’s Capital City, and Mike Elliott’s ShutterBug (see “Three More Titans From Calliope”).
