Gale Force Nine has shared information and pictures on new Dungeons & Dragons licensed miniatures releasing in Q1.

The final Dungeons & Dragons Collector’s Series Tomb of Annihilation miniature will be the towering Tyrannosaurus Zombie. The limited-edition resin miniature is sculpted by Jonathan Nascone, limited to 1,500 units, and has an MSRP of $40.00. The miniature is sold unpainted and requires assembly (5 pieces). Release is planned for late January.

GF9 told ICv2 that this miniature was not originally announced as part of the collection this summer (see “GF9 Reveals 'D&D: Tomb of Annihilation' Accessories”). “This was a bonus release and came from our work with the Neverwinter computer game team as the model came from them as a test to see how game files can be converted to 3D model files,” a representative told ICv2. “(T)he results were so good we decided to add it to the schedule.” An impressive fact about the creature is that according to game text, the Tyrannosaurus Zombie has a gullet full of smaller zombies, which can be disgorged when it is attacked. (Smaller zombies not included.)

Two variant giants will be released as part of the Storm King’s Thunder collection in February.  The Fire Giant Dreadnaught and Frost Giant Ravager will both be limited to 1,500 pieces, and have an MSRP of $40.00 each. The resin miniatures are sold unpainted and requires assembly.

Two classic characters will join the D&D Collector’s Series  in March: the Froghemoth and Minsc & Boo.

Minsc & Boo depicts the ranger from Rashemen and Boo, his miniature giant space hamster, who were first made their appearance in the computer game Baldur’s Gate. The resin miniature is sold unpainted and requires assembly. MSRP is $10.00.

The Froghemoth arrives from the classic adventure, Expedition to the Barrier Peaks. The Froghemoth waits for its prey, submerged in the swap, leaping out to trap the unwary with its tentacles. The resin sculpture is limited to 1,000 pieces, and is sold unpainted and requires assembly. MSRP is $30.00.

The giants and classic models were GF9’s 2017 show specials now released globally to trade.
