There’s hell to pay in a new animated film starring the Suicide Squad. Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, an R-rated feature-length animated film produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, will be available via digital streaming on March 27 and Blu-ray and DVD on April 10.

The original story finds Task Force X -- Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Killer Frost, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, and Copperhead -- under the direction of Amanda Waller and sent to retrieve a powerful mystical object. Christian Slater (Mr. Robot) leads the voice cast as Deadshot. Additional voices include Billy Brown (How To Get Away With Murder) as Bronze Tiger, Liam McIntyre (The Flash) as Captain Boomerang, Kristin Bauer van Straten (True Blood) as Killer Frost, Gideon Emery (Teen Wolf) as Copperhead, Tara Strong (Batman: The Killing Joke) as Harley Quinn, and Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty) as Amanda Waller.

The Suicide Squad will face off against Zoom (The Punisher and Outcast’s C. Thomas Howell), Scandal Savage (Dania Ramirez), Professor Pyg (James Urbaniak), Silver Banshee and Jewelee (both voiced by Julie Nathanson), and Vandal Savage and Vertigo (both voiced by Jim Pirri).

The film is the latest entry in the DC Universe Movies, an ongoing series of straight-to-video animated films based on DC Comics storylines and characters. More than 30 films have been created for the line (see “DVD Round-Up: 'Cars 3,' 'Westworld,' 'Trollhunters,' 'Family Guy,' 'DC Universe Collection,' 'Speed Racer,' & 'Your Name'”). Batman and Harley Quinn, a recent entry in the series, got a quick bow in theatres last summer (see “Theatrical Release for 'Batman and Harley Quinn'”). A take on the Elseworlds one-shot that saw Batman battle Jack the Ripper is due later this month (see “'Batman: Gotham By Gaslight' Trailer”).
