Awaken Realms miniatures board game Nemesis has cracked ICv2’s Top 10 Tabletop Game Kickstarter Projects chart, a feat that is getting harder to accomplish by the year.

Polish miniatures studio Awaken Realms raised $4,277,983 from more than 30,000 backers for the semi-cooperative sci-fi horror game.  Currently there are no plans for trade release.  Awaken Realms previously partnered with Polish publisher Galakta Games on a board game version of the video game This War of Mine in 2016 which was released here last year (see “Ares to Distribute Galakta Games”).  Nemesis has landed at #6 on the chart, displacing Reaper Miniatures’ Dark Heaven: Bones collection, which was at the top of list when ICv2 began keeping track back in 2013 (see “Top Ten Tabletop Game Kickstarters”), and raises the bar by $131,407 to more than $3.5 million to qualify.

The last change to the chart happened back in October (see “Two of Top Three Tabletop Game Kickstarters Have No Trade Release”).  Kickstarter recently shared information on how the tabletop game project category continued to grow in 2017 (see “Tabletop Games Up 36% on Kickstarter”).
