This August, Cryptozoic Entertainment plans to release Bronze, from Russian designer Konstantin Domashev.
Set 5,000 years ago, Bronze challenges players to lead their civilizations to greatness by controlling trade routes to the great cities of the ancient world, where they can exchange knowledge and technology. The game is played on a modular game board showing seven different terrain types that players can settle only by using the required technologies. Controlling territory, building chains of settlements, and exploring new lands all contribute to victory.
Bronze comes with 15 game board tiles, 23 tokens, 120 cards, and 120 settlement markers. The game is intended for 2 to 4 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 45 to 90 minutes. MSRP has not been announced.
Retailers at the upcoming GAMA Trade Show will have an opportunity to preview Bronze, along with a number of other planned Cryptozoic releases, including The Arrival (see “Martin Wallace’s ‘The Arrival’ Lands U.S. Release”), Wallet (see “The Mob Boss’s Billfold Holds the Keys to Freedom”), DC Spyfall (see “Cryptozoic Doubles Down on DC”), and Rick and Morty Pickle Rick.
Cryptozoic had Pickle Rick on display at the New York Toy Fair, along with a number of other new game titles (see “Preview: ‘The Pickle Rick Game,’ ‘DC Deck-Building Game – Rebirth,’ More”) and toys (see “Bombshells, Tikis and Mugshots”).
