Writer Cullen Bunn (X-Men Blue, Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe) and artist Mark Bagley (Amazing Spider-Man, Venom) will take Deadpool on a killer-for-hire teamup in a new miniseries. Deadpool: Assassin #1 will hit shelves in June. In the series, Wade Wilson and his old buddy Weasel will face down assassins, knife-wielding speedsters, and more in an action-packed thrill ride.

If recent test audience scores are anything to go by, the series will probably ride a wave of Deadpool 2 love. The film, which opens May 18 (see “Best in Shows--Q2 2018”), reportedly received a score as high as 98 in recent test screenings (via The Hollywood Reporter). The final test took place in Dallas, where two cuts were screened simultaneously, scoring 98 and 94. A source indicates the higher-rated cut will be the version used (naturally).

Despite rumors otherwise, the lowest score the film has received so far is 91, which matches the highest score the original outing received. Deadpool 2 underwent reshoots to add more footage based on test audience responses, and successive test screenings scored higher. The reshoots purportedly adds footage of Josh Brolin’s Cable and Zazie Beetz’s Domino (see “'Deadpool 2' Reshoots Add More Footage Of Fan Favorite Characters”).
