According to Deadline, both X-Men films have been pushed back in favor of the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody which is taking Dark Phoenix’s currently scheduled release date of November 2. Dark Phoenix is bumped to an opening on February 14, 2019, which has been good for the last two superhero films opening around that weekend, Black Panther and Deadpool.
The horror-driven New Mutants, which was originally set to open this April, before being pushed back to February 22, 2019 (see “Fox Upsets the 'X-Men' Film Schedule Again”), is shuffled off again, this time to August 2, 2019 (see “Best in Shows--Q3 2019”).
