Steamforged Games will support its popular Dark Souls: The Board Game with a wide array of expansions this summer.
The dungeon-crawl style, miniatures-heavy board game did very well on Kickstarter, and landed a spot on ICv2’s most recent Top 10 Hobby Channel Board Games chart (see "Top 10 Hobby Channel Board Games--Fall 2017"). Steamforged showed off the first two expansion sets at Toy Fair (see "Dragons Coming for 'Dark Souls: The Board Game'").
August will bring the Dark Root Expansion and the Asylum Demon Expansion. The Darkroot Expansion includes new enemies, new encounter cards, and new treasure cards. MSRP is $70.00. The Asylum Demon Expansion includes a new mini boss and mega boss, as well as all the components needed for two unique encounters. MSRP is $60.00.
September will bring the Vordt of the Boreal Valley Expansion and the Black Dragon Kalameet Expansion. Vordt includes the mega boss, and all the encounter cards needed to take on this deadly new boss. MSRP is $60.00. The Black Dragon Kalameet include the mega boss Kalameet, tokens for the new Calamity condition, and all components needed for the encounter. MSRP is $70.00.
October will see the Gaping Dragon Expansion and the Darkroot Basin and Iron Keep Tile Set released. The Gaping Dragon Expansion includes the new mega boss, tokens for the new Corrosion condition, and encounter cards. MSRP is $70.00. The Tile Set includes 9 double-sided Darkroot Basin and Iron Keep Game Tiles featuring iconic locations from the Dark Souls franchise. MSRP is $30.00.
