'Hulk' Writer Takes Laura Kinney Back to Her Roots in New Series

Mariko Tamaki (Hulk, Hunt for Wolverine: Claws of a Killer) will give Laura Kinney a new beginning in X-23. The series is drawn by Juann Cabal (Elektra, All-New Wolverine) and covered by Mike Choi. The first issue features variants by Choi, Rahzzah, and Skottie Young, as well as a blank variant. The oversized 40-page debut of X-23 will be in stores July 11 for an MSRP of $4.99. The 32-page second issue, which features a variant by Jen Bartel, will be out July 25.
Laura Kinney recently spent a stint as Wolverine in All-New Wolverine, but the return of Logan in Hunt for Wolverine (see "'The Hunt for Wolverine'") means Laura has reassumed the mantle of X-23, and she, along with her sister Gabby and pet wolverine Jonathan, is on a mission to make sure no one else experiences the same horrors she did.
