An unexpected edition is sneaking its way into the first wave of expansions for Fantasy Flight’s upcoming Star Was: X-Wing Second Edition: Lando’s Millennium Falcon Expansion Pack will release on September 13.
Taking its cues from the recently-released movie Solo: A Star Wars Story, this expansion kit features the iconic Millennium Falcon in the days before Han Solo took ownership of it. While closer to the “stock” version of the ship as it would have existed before Solo’s “modifications,” the ship still has some unique improvements installed by Lando Calrissian to help with his smuggling career.
To fit the style of its pilot, Lando’s Millennium Falcon will be a part of the Scum and Villainy faction. The kit includes 13 upgrade cards, many of which feature risky maneuvers with a gambler’s touch. In addition to Lando himself, the card mix includes Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Qi’ra, as well as the obstacle-creating Rigged Cargo Chute and an escape craft that can be separated from the larger model and used independently during a firefight.
Lando’s Millennium Falcon Expansion Pack comes with a pre-painted model of the Falcon, the base and pegs, and all of the cards, tokens, and dials needed to use it in the game. A copy of the base game is required to play. MSRP is $39.95.
The new edition of Star Wars: X-Wing will release on September 13 following a preview at Gen Con (see “‘Star Wars: X-Wing’ Second Edition Will Use the Force”).
