The comedic characters of KonoSuba! God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World 2 and their adventures will appear in an upcoming booster expansion for Bushiroad’s Weiss Schwarz Trading Card Game, which will release on November 30.
Inspired by the second season of the anime version of KonoSuba, the cards in this set feature story elements lifted from the anime, including events like the Axis Church activating the goddess Aqua’s “God Requiem,” the possession of the character Darkness by Vanir, and the “Snipe” skill used by Kazuma. The cards in this set can be combined with any cards which have numbers that begin with KS/.
The expansion will include 100 cards with 22 parallel cards, packaged in eight-card booster packs sold in 20-pack display boxes. Some random packs will feature a chase card with signatures from one of the voice actors from the anime, including Sora Amamiya, Rie Takahashi, Ai Kayano, Yui Horie, and Aki Toyosaki. Each display box will also include one of four possible promo cards, and each 16-display carton will be topped with four exclusive rubber playmats.
Earlier in November, an expansion featuring KanColle fleet girls will be released as well (see “More ‘KanColle’ Fleet Girls Sail into ‘Weiss Schwarz’”).
Bushiroad also recently announced licenses for a number of popular anime titles that will feature in future Weiss Schwarz sets (see “‘Weiss Schwarz’ Adds New Anime Titles”).
