Dark Horse Comics has revealed the release date and cover art for its God of War comic miniseries. The four-issue series will be launched November 14. The cover art is by E.M. Gist. The comic series is part of Dark Horse’s overall God of War program, which also includes an art book (see "’God of War’ Comic and Art Book").
The story follows Kratos, the God of War, as he inadvertently sparks a conflict with a cult of berserkers after attempting to save a stranger from a monstrous bear. It’s set in the Norse wilds after Kratos’ war with Olympus.
As previously announced, the series will be written by Chris Roberson with art by Tony Parker. Colors are by Dan Jackson, with letters by John Roshell of Comicraft.
