DC Comics will be releasing trade paperback collections of its Dark Nights and Dark Days event series.
DC will pave the road to Dark Nights: Metal with Dark Days: The Road to Metal, a trade paperback collecting prequel stories (see “'Dark Days' Ahead in DC's Summer Releases”) written by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Tim Seeley, and others. The 256-page volume collects Dark Days: The Forge and Dark Days: The Casting, as well as classic DC stories that built the foundations of Metal, including Final Crisis #6-7, The Return of Bruce Wayne #1, plus (from the New 52 era) Batman #38-39 and Nightwing #17. The volume, which is covered by Jim Lee and Scott Williams, is on sale January 2 for an MSRP of $19.99. On January 23, DC will release the paperback edition of Dark Nights: Metal, which will include two issues that weren’t part of the deluxe hardcover collection (see “Three 'Metal' Collections”). It includes Dark Nights: Metal #1-6, plus Batman: Lost #1 and Dark Knights Rising: The Wild Hunt #1. The 280-page volume, which features a Greg Capullo cover, has an MSRP of $19.99.Two Trade Paperback Collections for Bestsellers
