At its New York Comic Con “Meet the Publisher” panel, DC revealed a new imprint curated by Brian Michael Bendis and Marv Wolfman’s new comic based on Funko DC Primal Age Action Figures.

Bendis revealed details on his personally curated line of teen-focused, in-continuity comics, Wonder Comics, which will debut next year. The first title will be Young Justice, written by Bendis and drawn by Patrick Gleason. It will see Impulse (Bart Allen) and Superboy (Conner Kent) teaming with Robin (Tim Drake). The first wave of Wonder Comics will also include:

Naomi, written by Bendis and David Walker, drawn by Jamal Campbell

Wonder Twins written by Mark Russell and drawn by Stephen Byrne

Dial H for Hero an updated take on the Silver Age series written by Sam Humphries, and drawn by Joe Quinones

Funko recently announced a new retro barbarian fantasy action figure line, DC Primal Age, based on some freshly unearthed old sketches and designs for 1980s comic and toy line. Marv Wolfman announced plans to write a comic book based on this new toy line, with art by Scott Koblish. The DC Primal Age comic will explain the background of the toy line, and will also include short stories featuring iconic DC characters drawn in the style of the new line.
