Set in the same fantasy world as The Tea Dragon Society, the story follows Rinn, who has grown up in a village with Tea Dragons, but is quite unprepared when stumbling across a real dragon. Aedhan is a young dragon assigned to protect Rinn’s village, but 80 year ago, he fell asleep in the forest. Rinn and her family help the dragon determine why he fell into an enchanted sleep and then deal with his regrets over lost time.

The bestselling The Tea Dragon Society won two Eisner Awards this summer for Best Publication for Kids (ages 9 – 12) and Best Webcomic (see “'Monstress' & 'My Favorite Thing Is Monsters' Dominate the Eisners”) and tied with The Prince and the Dressmaker for the Harvey Award for Best Children or Young Adult Book (see “Harvey Awards Go to 'Monstress,' 'Black Panther' Movie”).
