Prodigy, the next title in Mark Millar’s deal with Netflix, will feature a triptych cover on the first issue, and it won’t see a second printing. The first issue of the Image Comics series about Edison Crane, the world’s smartest man, is due in stores December 5, with FOC this coming Monday.

The triptych cover features several characters from Millarworld properties. The triptych is by series artist Rafael Albuquerque (Batman, American Vampire), who also provides the main cover, a black-and-white variant of the main cover, and a “We Believe in Comics” variant. Frank Quitely (All-Star Superman, Jupiter’s Legacy) is also providing a variant, and there will be a blank variant.

As with The Magic Order (see "No Second Printings for Mark Millar’s ‘The Magic Order’"), there won’t be additional printings of the first issue of Prodigy. Also, all copies of the issue will be fully returnable.

Prodigy is the second comics release in the Netflix-Millarworld partnership (see “Netflix And Millarworld Announce 'Prodigy'”). The deal also includes TV and film projects, with Netflix working on several adaptations of Millarworld comics (see “Netflix Greenlights Millarworld Projects”).
