Designer Shadi Torbey’s "Oniverse" game universe expands into the skies with his latest solo/cooperative game Aerion, which Z-Man Games will release next spring.
In Aerion, one or two players working together try to craft the most magnificent fleet of six air ships before they run out of critical resources. Each airship requires a set of blueprints, construction materials, and a crew to pilot it. Each turn, the players roll dice to determine which resources they can use, and may discard a card out of the game to reroll if needed. But, if they run out of cards before all six airships are finished, they lose the game.
The game comes with six built-in mini-expansions which can be added to the base game either singly or in combination. Each expansion adds new resources to the game as well as new challenges that the players must overcome to win. Expansions include elements such as Factory cards, a race against time mechanic, or a fearsome “Hellkite” that must be defeated through the destruction of its Lairs.
Aerion is intended for 1 or 2 players, ages 10 and up, and takes about 15 minutes to play. It comes with 133 cards, 6 dice, 16 tokens, and 1 pawn. MSRP is $24.99.

Z-Man will also release its retro-style space exploration game Lift Off in the spring (see "Re-Engineer the Space Race in Retro Style Game").
