Niantic’s online game powerhouse Pokemon GO had a great year in 2018, with revenues up 35% over 2017 to an estimated $795 million worldwide, according to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data. The growth was driven by new features and content, including head-to-head multiplayer play, according to the report.

U.S. players held a consistent share of spending, at 33% of gross revenue, the same as the share in 2017.

Since a spectacular launch in July 2016, Pokemon GO has driven sales of products across the franchise, including manga and the TCG, especially as new content and features are added to the game.
