Looney Labs is kicking off "The Year of Time Travel" featuring games inspired by time travel stories. The first title will be Time Breaker, releasing on February 28.
In Time Breaker, the players are “Time Repair Agents” charged with tracking down and capturing a notorious “chrono-criminal” known as the “Time Breaker,” who is playing havoc with the timeline. They must make their way around the tile-based time stream to locate the criminal and apprehend them. Once the arrest has been made, they must still deliver the fugitive to Time Repair HQ before their opponents can catch them or the Time Breaker is able to escape.
This card game was designed by Andy Looney and is intended for 2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up. It takes about half an hour to play. MSRP is $25.00.
To help stores promote the new game, Looney Labs is extending an offer for retailers to purchase “early demo copies” at an additional discount. Demo copies are available only through pre-order, and will ship about two weeks before the release of the game.
Last year, Looney Labs released a time-travel-themed expansion set that allows players to combine Star Trek Fluxx with Star Trek: The Next Generation Fluxx (see “‘Star Trek Fluxx’ Gets Foil Expansion That Breaks the Timeline”).
