Marvel Comics will launch Savage Avengers, a new series pairing Conan the Barbarian with Wolverine, The Punisher, Brother Voodoo, Elektra, and Venom, on May 1.

Spinning out of his Savage Sword of Conan series, writer Gerry Duggan (Deadpool, Guardians of the Galaxy) and Infinity Wars artist Mike Deodato Jr. pool the Avengers deadliest roster yet in the all new Savage Avengers.

A direct continuation of Duggan’s current Conan work (see Marvel Expands Conan Footprint) and his collaborative efforts on the weekly event Avengers: No Road Home, Savage Avengers will pit the heaviest hitters of the Marvel Universe against evil Hand Ninjas of Earth and Cimmerian Wizards alike.

Savage Avengers will be featured in a 10-page preview in Marvel’s FCBD outing in anticipation of the series debut on May 1.
