AfterShock Comics is supporting the launch of its Killer Groove comic series with the Killer Groove Comic Shop Display Contest.

The contest involves a giveaway of two guitars from Gibson. The first, an Epiphone Les Paul Special Vintage Edition (VE) Electric Guitar, will be awarded to the winner (retailer or store) who submits the best in-store display for Killer Groove from the week before launch, and through the least after. AfterShock will provide reproducible logos, covers, images of the prize, suggested sell-copy and promotional digital posters, shelf-talkers, handouts and more for retailers with Diamond accounts. The only guideline for the display is “Be as Creative as You Want to Be.” Official trade rules are available on the publisher’s website.

Participants are required to send AfterShock electronic images to be showcased on the publisher’s website. Winner will be chosen based on the number of votes received and placed by consumers who will be invited to vote as a method of automatic entry in a sweepstakes drawing for the second guitar (Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic Guitar). The random draw will be held on June 30 or July 1.

Ollie Masters and Eoin Marron’s Killer Groove launches on May 29. Set in 1970s Los Angeles, the series follows musician Jonny who get mixed up with a local mob hitman, and find a violent inspiration for his music.
