DC Comics will release two collections gathering the main series and side stories for its Heroes in Crisis event series on September 25 (see “DC Builds a Sanctuary for 'Heroes in Crisis'”).

The series uncovers what happens when DC universe heroes have to deal with PTSD. There is a special secret hospital called Sanctuary where superheroes who have been traumatized by crimefighting and epic combat. But when patients suddenly end up dead, Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman must investigate. The series was controversial enough to net the writer death threats (see “Tom King Gets Death Threats”).

The Heroes in Crisis collection will include the entire nine-issue miniseries written by King, with art by Clay Mann, Travis Moore, Lee Weeks, Mitch Gerads and Jorge Fornes. The cover will be illustrated by Mann. The 240-page hardcover has an MSRP of $19.95. Comic shop release will be November 25, with book market trade to follow on October 1.

Heroes in Crisis: The Price and Other Tales includes stories that tie into the Heroes in Crisis storyline.  In include Batman #64 – 65, The Flash #64 – 65, Green Arrow #45, 48 – 50, and The Flash Annual #2 written by Joshua Williamson, Julie Benson, and Shawna Benson; with art by Rafa Sandoval, Jordi Tarragona, Guillem March, Scott Kolins and Javier Fernandez. The 248-page trade paperback features a new cover by Guillem March and has an MSRP of $19.99. Comic shop release will be November 25, with book market trade to follow on October 1.
