In a nuance of DC’s new imprint strategy, although DC will no longer publish new material under the Vertigo brand as of January 1 (see “DC To Abandon Vertigo, Zoom, and Ink Brands”), Vertigo backlist volumes will continue to carry Vertigo branding going forward. This will preserve a vestige of the respected imprint, continuing the branding of the titles with which it’s been historically associated.

The Vertigo branding will only be maintained if the titles are exact reprints.

While recent Vertigo titles had not been doing well, there’s tremendous affection for the classics of the line, and this ensures that the classics of the Berger Era will continue to carry the imprint for now.
