Dynamite Entertainment has inked a licensing deal with novelist F. Paul Wilson to publish original graphic novels based on Wilson’s Repairman Jack character.  Wilson himself will not only plot but also script the new books, which will stay within the continuity of his other books.  The first Repairman Jack original graphic novel will be published in 2020.  No artist has been announced.

Repairman Jack first appeared in 1984 in Wilson’s novel The Tomb and eventually became the lead character in his own series of novels.  Set in an urban future, the novels follow Jack as he solves problems, both mundane and supernatural, for a living.

The new Repairman Jack stories are not Wilson’s first foray into graphic novels; an adaptation of his novel The Keep, with art by Matthew Dow Smith, was published by IDW Publishing in 2011.  The publisher Sea Lion Books announced it would publish graphic adaptations of Wilson’s prequel novels Jack: Secret Histories, Jack: Secret Circles, and Jack: Secret Vengeance, (see "Sea Lion Acquires F. Paul Wilson Series"), but those books appear not to have been published.
