BOOM! Studios will publish a three-volume graphic novel prequel series tied to Ember in the Ashes, the bestselling fantasy novel series by Sabaa Tahir.  A Thief Among the Trees: An Amber in the Ashes Graphic Novel, which kicks off the prequel series, will be released in July 2020 under BOOM!’s Archaia imprint. 

The graphic novel is by creator Tahir, writer Nicole Andelfinger, and artist Sonia Liao. 

In a world is inspired by ancient Rome, three military recruits in training are sent on a dangerous mission to steal a heavily-guarded poison and find themselves against surprising enemies, including other recruits.
