ICv2’s Best in Shows calendar has seen a few revisions this week, mostly thanks to Warner Bros. rearrangement of release dates according to Deadline.
Mortal Kombat was pushed forward in 2021. Its date moved from its original March 2021 date up two months to a January 15, 2021 date (see "Best in Shows--Q1 2021").
Warner Bros. set release dates for both The Matrix 4, on May 21, 2021, and The Flash standalone, on July 1, 2022. The Matrix 4 release date zapped Taika Waititi’s live-action Akira clear off the schedule (see "Best in Shows--Q2 2021"). Two Keanu Reeves-starrers, Matrix 4 and John Wick 4, are now set to release the same day.
Finally, Warner Bros. slotted two untitled event films for October 16, 2020 and March 5, 2021. No word on what these films could be as of yet.
ICv2’s Best in Shows, which shows the geek films scheduled for each quarter, is updated through 2027 (see "Best in Shows Index").
