Mortal Kombat Movie

Warner Bros. and MGM had originally scheduled the Sesame Street movie starring Anne Hathaway for this date, but then moved the Mortal Kombat movie up from March 2021 to this date.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

This Marvel Studios film will star Simu Liu in the title role, Tony Leung as Mandarin, and Awkwafina in an undisclosed role.  Destin Daniel Cretton will direct.

Walt Disney Studios claimed this date, along with several others, on May 7, 2019 as part of an extensive scheduling slate for Marvel Studios, 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, and Star Wars films (see “Disney Reserves Dates for Three New 'Star Wars' Features”).This date was chosen for Fox's animated adaptation of Noelle Stevenson's medieval-fantasy webcomic. Before the Disney merger, it was scheduled for Feb. 14, 2020.

In April 2017, Disney reserved this date for another live action film.

Tomb Raider 2

MGM has reserved this date for the release of the sequel to its 2018 Tomb Raider reboot starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft.  No formal title yet.
