The third wave of champions for Steamforged Games’ Godtear will release on March 3.  The company has also announced an organized play program to support the game.

Launched last year (see “Steamforged’s ‘Godtear’ Poised to Launch”), Godtear is a fantasy battle game that combines elements of board games and miniatures games to depict battles between champions who compete for the divine power of dead gods.

The two new champions releasing in March will be Sneaky Peet, The Maligned, manufactured in red plastic, and Mournblade, The Soulless, in blue.  Each kit includes one champion and four members of their warband, along with the cards needed to use them in the game.  All models are supplied unpainted.  MSRP is $30.00 per set.

Steamforged is supporting the new game with an organized play program that will feature both tournaments and multi-game campaigns during which players can upgrade their champions between matches.  The company is also offering free demo copies of the game and free Godtear Launch Kits to stores that order at least seven copies of a champion set and four starter sets.  The Launch Kit will release later this month along with the second wave of champions (see “Steamforged Games Announces ‘Godtear’ Retailer Launch Kit Offer”).
