Dark Horse Comics will release an oversized hardcover collecting all three volumes of The Legend of Korra: Ruins of the Empire graphic novel trilogy (see "’Legend of Korra’ Continues in New Graphic Novel Trilogy") on September 9 in comic stores and on September 22 in the book channel. The 240-page hardcover will include previously unpublished material, including a new sketchbook section, with artist commentary.
The individual volumes have been steady bestsellers in both channels (see "DC Pushes Up Graphic Novel Sales” and “November 2019 NPD BookScan").
The story is written by series co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino with art by Michelle Wong and consultation by co-creator Bryan Konietzko and animated series writer Tim Hedrick.
The Legend of Korra: Ruins of the Empire Library Edition will retail for $39.99.
