The zombies rise again in Year Zero, a five-issue series by Wolverine writer Benjamin Percy and Star Wars: Age of Resistance artist Ramon Rosanas, which will launch in April from AWA (Artists, Writers & Artisans) Studios.

Each of the lead characters in Year Zero has a different set of skills and motivations: A scientist who does research on polar ice cores, a Japanese hitman conscious of his samurai heritage, a Mexican boy whose mother was murdered by gang members, an American soldier in Afghanistan, and a survivalist living in the heartland.  Each is hiding or hidden during the initial surge of zombies, and now they must figure out what happened, how to stop it, and what comes next.  The creators wrestle with the greater moral questions of life as well as the simplest one of all: What can stop a zombie?

AWA is launching its first four titles, led by The Resistance by J. Michael Straczynski and Mike Deodato Jr., this month (see "Preview: AWA’s Four Launch Titles").
