The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund has released a new resource for stores, librarians, educators, and others hosting virtual events: Virtual Event Safety: Tips and Best Practices. The guide offers help choosing and understanding the right platform, how to protect privacy and respond to inappropriate behavior, and how to keep kids safe during virtual events, with additional resources and virtual event safety checklists for before, during and after the event.
Among the types of events the resource supports are art demos, interviews, readings, tutorials, workshops, AMAs, live auctions, comic book club meetings, virtual comics conventions, and webinars.
The CBLDF has been at the forefront of helping retailers adapt to the new environment for independent stores in the Covid era (see "CBLDF Offers Remote Retailing Strategies and Webinar").
