Ares Games has teamed up with Escape Studios to release an English edition Tales of Evil board game into the U.S. and non-European countries in September.

Tales of Evil was created by Antonio Ferrara, and was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2018 for $102,980 (converter from Euros) with 1359 backers ($76 per backer). It is cooperative board game where players take on the roles of members of a group of kids called Pizza & Investigation. The young investigators head off into places controlled by the forces of evil and need to survive as well as complete their missions. The feature mechanic of this game is called the Fusion System that requires players to take real-life actions with direct consequences in the game.

"This is the game I would like to play when I was a kid, and now I developed it with the mindfulness of a grown-up. I am honored to collaborate with Ares Games so that it can reach a wider audience after its Kickstarter success,” said Antonio Ferrara, game designer and founder of Escape Studios.

This game is for one to five players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 60 minutes. No information has been released about final box contents or MSRP.

Ares Games will also distribute Lex Arcana and Brancalonia, two Italian-made roleplaying games, into U.S. trade and other English markets (see "Ares Games Will Distribute Two Italian Roleplaying Games").
