Marvel Comics announced ALIEN #1 headed to stores in March of 2021.

After announcing that they were reclaiming the rights to publishing ALIEN books from Dark Horse Comics in July (see "Marvel Comics Acquires 'Alien', 'Predator', and 'Alien vs. Predator' Franchises"), it was only a matter of time before the xenomorphs were going burst back onto retailer shelves under the Marvel logo. ALIEN #1 tells the story of a Weyland-Yutani mercenary named Gabriel Cruz who is forced to fend off a new breed of xenomorphs to save a child.  This book is written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson (Empyre: Captain America) with art by Salvador Larroca (Doctor Doom).

The first book will feature a cover done by artist InHyuk Lee, who did the ultra popular Star Wars: Darth Vader #1 cover earlier in 2020 (see "The Dark Lord of Sith Seeks Vengeance In 'Star Wars: Darth Vader").

On a related note, Marvel Comics also announced a Predator: The Original Years Omnibus Vol. 1 HC for release in July 2021 (see "Marvel Comics Collects Dark Horse's 'Predator' Comics Into a New Volume ").
