Aporta Games unveiled Capital Lux 2: Generations, a standalone sequel to their 2016 tactical card game, which will release into trade in February.

Capital Lux 2: Generations is the sequel card-drafting game to Capital Lux that revolves around how character cards are played, either to score points by keeping them at home base or to gain powers by contributing the characters to the capital. It is a pure hand management game in which there is a capital that dictates how many of each color card a player can have in their hand, and players maintain or lose hand size based on how many of each color character card is in the capital. The goal of the game is for players to secure as many points as they can each turn without exceeding the capital's limit.

This sequel can be combined with the original Capital Lux to create new power combinations. It is for one to four players, ages 10 and up, plays in 25 to 40 minutes, and will retail for $29.99.

Aporta Games also released The Magnificent, through Asmodee USA, in July (see " Build a Grandiose Circus with 'The Magnificent'").
