Dark Horse Comics will launch Critical Role: The Tales of Exandria, a new four-issue miniseries, on March 17.
The first in a series of bimonthly comics focused on side characters and stories, Critical Role: The Tales of Exandria - The Bright Queen focuses on Leylas Kryn, the Bright Queen of the Kryn Dynasty. Over multiple lives, Leylas has sought to assemble the Luxon and use its power to bring a Golden Age to those under her rule. The final piece is near and Leylas sends Quana, her eternal lover, to collect it though it may have consequences that may threaten the entire Kryn Dynasty. The series is written by Darcy Van Poelgeest (Littlebird) and illustrated by CoupleofKooks (Critical Role fan artist), with creative consultation by Matthew Mercer. Helen Mask will provide covers.
Dark Horse and Critical Role previously announced a new line of character-centric graphic novels (see "Dark Horse Comics and Critical Role Unveil ‘Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins’").
