WizKids announced Jinja, a new worker placement board game, for release in April 2021.

In Jinja, players are building shrines across Japan, to earn the most honor, by placing workers at key locations. Each turn players activate one of thirteen actions or build at one of the territories on the board map of Japan. Building Shrines earns players honor and special abilities as they work towards achieving different goals. This game takes place over five seasons, and player with the most points wins when the game ends.

The game box will include 75 cards, 135 or more tokens, 65 player pieces, a board, a die, a bag, and a rulebook (box contents are subject to change). This game is for two to five players, ages 12 and up , plays in 60 minutes, and will retail for $49.99.

WizKids will also release The Cursed Hoard expansion for Fantasy Realms in January (see “WizKids Expands ‘Fantasy Realms’”).
