A pair of comic publishers made related personnel announcements on Monday.  Alex Segura is joining Oni Lion Forge as Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, and Archie Comics has promoted two members of management to higher positions.

In his new role at Oni Lion Forge, Segura will oversee publicity, marketing, and sales efforts across channels.  He is leaving his position as Co-President of Archie Comics, which he’s held since 2017.  His last stretch at Archie, which ran from 2014 to 2021, also included time as SVP of Publicity and Marketing and Editor, Dark Circle Comics.  He also had a previous stint at Archie and two at DC Comics, all in publicity roles.  His recent stretch at Archie was a productive one that saw new opportunities due to TV exposure, expanded talent rosters, and event publishing (see "ICv2 Interview: Archie Co-President Alex Segura").  Segura’s first day in his new role is next Monday, May 24.

Meanwhile, management employees were moved up in editorial and marketing.  Jamie L. Rotante was promoted from Editor to Senior Director of Editorial.  In that role, she’ll be in  charge of the editorial direction of the line, working with licensors, and other editorial management functions.  Rotante has been with Archie for 11 years in editorial positions.

Ron Cacace has been promoted from Digital Marketing Manager to Director of Publicity and Social Media.  In his new role, Cacace will develop the company’s communications strategy, manage Archie’s social media presence, manage relationships with key digital partners, organize events, and more.  Cacace also writes the company webcomic, Bite Sized Archie.
