Writer Mark Russell (The Flintstones, Billionaire Island, Second Coming) and artist Mike Deodato Jr. (The Amazing Spider-Man, The Resistance) are working on a new series, Not All Robots, to be published by AWA Studios. The first issue is scheduled for release on August 4.

Not All Robots is set in the year 2056, a time when robots have gained intelligence and humans have become increasingly helpless, to the point where the powers that be have assigned every family its own robot to support them. For the Walters family, that robot is Razorball, who seems increasingly disgruntled and spends a lot of time out in the garage building something that the Walters think may be designed to kill them.

Russell won a GLAAD Award for The Snagglepuss Chronicles: Exit Stage Left and was nominated for an Eisner Award for The Flintstones. Deodato has been the regular penciller for The Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, and The New Avengers, among other series, and is currently working with J. Michael Straczynski on The Resistance.
