Created by writer Jeph Loeb and artist Tim Sale, Batman: The Long Halloween is a murder mystery set during the early period of the Dark Knight’s crime-fighting career. The 416-page hardcover will collect the full run of the original 13-issue series plus 30 pages of extras, including sketches and interviews. The book will also have a new cover by Tim Sale.

DC will publish a new deluxe edition of Batman: The Long Halloween shortly after the release of Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two, the second direct-to-Blu-ray animated feature tied to the storyline (see “‘Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two’”), in August. The first video feature will be released June 22. Batman: The Long Halloween Deluxe Edition will go on sale on October 12 with an MSRP of $49.99.
