Simpson comes to DC in the aftermath of a series of layoffs in 2020 (see “WarnerMedia Layoffs Hit DC (Again)”) that included several longtime employees who worked with the Direct Market, including VP - Comic Book Specialty and Newsstand Sales Jim Sokolowski; Sales Manager Stuart Schreck, a 20-year DC veteran; Director, Marketing Services Adam Philips (26 years); and Executive Director – Events Fletcher Chu-Fong (18 years).
