The Game Manufacturers Association is expanding the Trade Days traditionally held in conjunction with Origins Game Fair to two days this year from their usual one, the organization announced. The move is being taken in the wake of the cancellation of GAMA Expo, the organization’s annual trade show, earlier this year due to the Covid pandemic (see "GAMA Cancels Expo 2021 in Reno"). The Origins dates were moved from June to late September (see "GAMA Pushes Origins Game Fair Back") as a safety move.
The two day event will be held Wednesday, September 29 and Thursday, September 30; the consumer show begins on Thursday. Programming will include retailer-to-retailer peer education workshops, industry seminars for publishers and game designers, Game Nights to demo new games, and networking time.
As is usually the case at GAMA Expo, retailers that pre-register prior to August 15 and attend the Premier Presentations will be eligible to receive a swag box from presenters.
Trade Day badges are free for GAMA members, and will also include admittance to the consumer show.
