IDW Publishing has hired Maggie Howell as Senior Editor of Original Content. Howell had been at DC since 2015, moving through the ranks from Executive Assistant to Associate Editor of DC’s Black Label comics. At IDW she will be working with another former DC editor, Mark Doyle, who was named Editorial Director of the Original Content team earlier this year (see “IDW Announces Three New Hires”). Howell replaces Erika Turner, who was promoted to Executive Editor in June (see “IDW Promotes Erika Turner”).
Editor Megan Brown, who previously worked on IDW’s licensed comics, including My Little Pony, Marvel Action: Captain Marvel, and Star Trek, is also moving to the Original Content department. Brown started at IDW in 2018 as an Editorial Assistant.
