DC will collect two of its recent series as “Absolute” editions, a deluxe format that presents the entire story as an oversized hardcover with a slipcase and exclusive extras.
Absolute Doomsday Clock collects the entire 12-issue series by writer Geoff Johns and artist Gary Frank, along with behind-the-scenes features and previously unreleased sketches by Frank. Doomsday Clock, along with Watchmen, was one of the top selling superhero graphic novels this past spring (see “Top Superhero Graphic Novel Franchises: Spring 2021”). The 496-page hardcover will go on sale on June 14, 2022, with an MSRP of $125.00. Absolute Dark Nights: Metal, by writer Scott Snyder and artists Greg Capullo and Jonathan Glapion, pulls together the story of Batman and the Dark Multiverse, collecting Dark Nights: Metal #1-6, Batman: Lost #1, and Dark Knights Rising: The Wild Hunt #1. The 400-page graphic novel also includes over 100 pages of extras and will go on sale on May 31, 2022, with an MSRP of $125.00.DC to Publish Complete Editions as Slipcased Hardcovers
