TCGplayer has filled the new position of Chief Supply Chain Officer by adding Kristin Bauer, who’s previously held supply chain roles at TJX, Ulta Beauty, and Target, to its team, the company announced. In this new role, Bauer will be responsible for advancing TCGplayer’s supply chain strategy, including overseeing its fulfillment center in Syracuse, New York.
Bauer was most recently at TJX Companies (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods, Sierra), where she was Vice President, Logistics Strategy and Analysis. She also had stints at salon chain Ulta Beauty, where she ended as Vice President – Supply Chain Strategy and Operations; and Target, where she was Director of Distribution, running 1.2 and 2 million square foot distribution centers in Michigan and New York.
"She will bring to TCGplayer the experience and innovation required to scale our supply chain and ensure our fulfillment operations continue to be our strategic differentiator," TCGplayer founder and CEO Chedy Hampson said of the hire. Hampson also gave a hint of the company’s plans for the future. "[T]he fulfillment center is poised for imminent growth as we expand our offerings and break into new hobby collectible categories," he continued.
TCGplayer has been building out its C-Suite, also hiring a Chief Product Officer and Chief Marketing Officer this year. Sales have been increasing rapidly during Covid; the company currently has over 500 employees, and recently raised $35 million in growth financing (see "TCGplayer Raises Another $35 Million").
