Former DC Executive Director of Events Fletcher Chu-Fong has formed a new company to provide event strategy and execute appearances for publishers and entertainment companies at comic book conventions and industry trade shows. The new company, Fletch Forward Event Solutions, will offer event planning and strategy for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including securing convention sponsorships, creating panel programming, and executing booth set-ups, from artist alley to a full-scale experiential booth.
Chu-Fong started at DC as a sales rep in 1997, and after stints at Wizard and Marvel, returned to DC in 2002 and was there until one of several waves of layoffs caught him in November 2020 (see "WarnerMedia Layoffs Hit DC (Again) ").
"This past year has been a tremendous challenge for the events industry but I strongly believe that conventions will come roaring back, stronger and better than before," Chu-Fong said in the announcement of his new company. "Now is the time to start planning for that return and your events strategy moving forward."
