Ablaze has announced a new graphic novel about the life of iconic 1960s rocker Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix: Electric Requiem, by writer Mattia Colombara and artist Gianluca Maconi, is a “docu-novel” that depicts Hendrix’s life as a talented guitarist (ranked #1 on Rolling Stone’s Greatest Guitarists of All Time) as well as his personal demons, all done in a colorful psychedelic style reminiscent of the Sixties. The graphic novel, which was originally published in Italy, will be published on May 18 with an MSRP of $24.99.

Ablaze is also publishing three graphic novels by the Italian creator Zerocalcare (see “Ablaze Signs Three Graphic Novels by Italian Cartoonist Zerocalcare”).
