As it continues to roll out its hardcover omnibus editions of Garth Ennis’s The Boys, Dynamite Entertainment today announced a companion volume: The Boys Scriptbook, Vol. 1, a collection of seven scripts from the comic, chosen by Ennis and accompanied by the finished artwork for each one. The comics in the collection are The Boys #1, #21, #38, #47, #53, and D65, Butcher Baker Candlestickmaker #5, and Dear Becky #1, and the artists include Darick Robertson, Russ Braun, Keith Burns, and John McCrea. The nearly 200-page trade paperback will go on sale on May 18 with an MSRP of $24.99.

Dynamite is publishing a hardcover omnibus edition of The Boys, with the first volume set to go on sale in April, the second in May, and the third in June (see “‘The Boys’ Are Back – In Omnibus Editions”). Amazon has adapted the comics into a live-action series and will also debut an animated series, The Boys Presents: Diabolical, on March 4 (see “Trailer for ‘The Boys Presents: Diabolical’”).
