Writer Alex Segura is teaming up with Red Sonja artist Emiliana Pinna for Scarlet Sisters, a one-shot comic starring Lady Satan, Masquerade, and The Woman in Red. All three are Golden Age superheroines whom Dynamite has incorporated into its Project Superpowers universe. Scarlet Sisters is a noir mystery that pits the trio against a cult-like menace that is strangling New York City, controlling both the politicians and the criminals. The stakes get even higher when one of their colleagues is killed. This story sets the stage for possible future adventures of the crimson-clad crimefighters.

Dynamite Entertainment will publish Scarlet Sisters in September 2022 with three covers by Lesley "Leirix" Li, Joseph Michael Linsner, and Jacob Edgar. "Emiliana and I have crafted a street-level, character-driven crime tale that will hopefully leave readers intrigued and eager for more," Segura said in a statement accompanying the announcement.

Segura is the writer of the comic The Black Ghost and the mystery novel Secret Identity, which blends comics pages into the narrative.
