Kevin Smith is launching a new anthology series, Quick Stops, that will feature self-contained stories from the Askewniverse, the world of his Jay and Silent Bob and Clerks films. The series will be published by Dark Horse Comics' Secret Stash Press, their imprint for Smith’s creator-owned comics (see “Dark Horse to Launch New Line of Kevin Smith Comics”). Each comic will have a different artist, and all the stories will be in black and white. The anthology will be ongoing, with a first run of four issues.

Quick Stop #1 will be released on November 2 with art by Jeremy Simser, a main cover by John Sprengelmeyer, and a variant cover by Simser. The story features Holden McNeil as the guest of honor at a comics convention, telling a crowd that includes Alyssa Jones about the origin of his Bluntman and Chronic comics; McNeil and Jones are both characters in the film Chasing Amy.
